The only thing standing between the life, the body, the career, the person you want to be; is you. And me. I say that because the same applies to me.
It applies to everyone.
Sure, there can be outside forces that we can’t control that can certainly play a part.
But the overwhelming common theme that stands in all of our ways, is US.
There are no two ways about it. We control our own destiny. We write our own stories.
We make our own beds.
And we must live in them as well.
You can have the body you want.
You can make the kind of money you want.
You can live in the house you want.
You can start the business you want.
The ONLY thing in this world we can control, is ourselves.
Not the government, not your boss, heck, not even really your kids.
And the biggest hurdle we have to leap is our limiting beliefs and the bs stories we tell ourselves.
“I’m too busy.”
“It wouldn’t work for me.”
“I’m not that good, strong, disciplined, etc.” You get where I am going with this.
I’m not here to be harsh, but I am trying to be honest with you, and myself.
The only reason I will not achieve the things I want in life is because I wasn’t willing or able to shut the negative voices and beliefs that I can’t do something and apply myself. Now lets be realistic, I’ll never be a center in the NBA. I’m 5’2, 5’3″ on a good day.
But that’s not say I couldn’t have played in the NBA. Mugssy Bouges was the same height as me and played 14 years in the NBA.
Anything is possible.
He was the 12th overall selection in the 1987 draft.
He believed it was possible. And that’s where it all starts.
Before anything you (and I ) have to truly believe that it is possible.
Because if you don’t, no one else will, and it will, NEVER happen.
But it also takes discipline, sacrifice and hard work.
It is possible though.
For me its stepping outside my comfort zone, believing in my education, experience and ability and just doing the things necessary to grow my business.
For you it could be getting to the gym more, getting outside more, watching what you eat, or any number of healthy habits you can improve on.
It could also be setting up that side hustle, going live on socials with your idea or product, or spending time at night or early in the morning when no one is around to further your education.
And It could mean sacrificing the things now, to save for the down payment on your house, getting the second job, etc.
Anything is possible, the question always remains then, are we willing to do what it takes?? And it all starts with getting the fuck out of our own way.
The only thing stopping you is YOU.
And the only thing stopping me is ME.
