Enough is ENOUGH!
“Let go of your story, so that the universe can write a new one.”
Marianne Williamson
I’m not enough.
I’m not worthy.
I just don’t get it.
I’ll never be able to do that.
Because I did this, I’m not capable of that.
Those are all thoughts that I told myself over the years.
I had gotten into so much trouble over the years that I assumed that I just wasn’t meant for anything.
I had developed a story of not blog enough and not worthy through the words and actions of others.
Over time it eroded the confidence I once had.
And I began to believe everything that was said about me.
I was too small for sports.
I wasn’t smart enough for big name schools.
But deep down I knew that there was something inside me.
I knew I was meant to do more than I was.
But for years I could’t muster the courage to go after it.
So I stayed the same.
It wasn’t until years of self sabotage with drugs and alcohol had finally beaten me down to my breaking point.
I was either going to change, or die trying.
SO I committed to changing the narrative.
I enrolled in a coaching program.
I became certified.
I changed my self talk.
And I bet on myself.
In the eyes of most, I lost that bet.
Initially.
I never gave up.
I never quit.
I refused to lose.
I had failed.
But I had not lost.
And it is that same resiliency I enlist in my clients.
No matter what, we don’t give up.
We play the long game.
We slip.
We fall.
But we get back up.
Every.
Damn.
Time.
It all began to change when I changed the story I told myself about not being good enough, or asking why me, or playing the victim.
I took personal responsibility for who I was, where I was and why I was doing the things I was doing to myself.
it wasn’t until I Hired a coach, educated myself and started BELIEVING IN MYELF again that things began to change.
So drop the story that you aren’t enough,
or you don’t have time, or you can’t lose the weight.
Change you self talk.
Hire a coach.
Ask for help.
And watch the universe start to write you a new story.
Peace, love & fitness,
Matt C.
