I HAVE NO IDEA!!
I don’t. I’m sorry.
I have no idea what it feels like to be overweight or obese.
Maybe you struggle with confidence, self esteem, self worth, negative thoughts, depression.
You don’t have to be overweight or obese to experience those feelings.
I have, and still do, from time to time, experience all of those emotions.
Being skinny as child on top of being the shortest kid in class always affected me.
I struggled with wanting to fit in, be accepted, and, well, be taller.
I did learn that there was one thing I could control, my body.
I started working out at 12 in an effort to improve my confidence as everyone was outgrowing me and filling out.
So no I have never struggled with weight loss.
The emotions you may be feeling I know all too well.
But, one thing is for sure, when I started to take care of what I could and began weight training, all of those emotions began to fade.
Now many failures and drug use led to some mental lapses over the years, but one thing remains steadfast, when I’m training hard, I am so confident.
It’s one of the best benefits of working out and getting strong.
I’m an advocate for living healthy, and YES, a big part of that is weight loss.
Being obese and overweight comes with so many risks;
- type 2 diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Heart disease- the #1 killer of Americans
- Stroke
- Metabolic Syndrome
- Fatty liver disease
- Osteoarthritis- every pound overweight puts 10 pounds of pressure on your joints
- Gallbladder diseases
- Mental health problems, such as depression
In a day when it seems to be an evil word, losing weight is so important for living a long and healthy life.
None of our clients are fitness modesl; they are just like you and me, wanting to feel better about themselves, improve their health and FEEL BETTER.
But there are so many more metrics that we use to gauge their progress.
We focus on setting goals, and working towards them each and every week.
We establish healthier. habits and help them build muscle to increase their ability to burn fat and lose weight.
And we always put the person before anything.
If you’re looking for a gym that puts your health above all else, comment 💪🏻🧠.
