The person you want to become isn’t far as far away as you may think.
The person you know today does life much differently that the old me.
I get it.
You’re not where you want to be physically.
You haven’t found the career that lights you up.
You’re not feeling good about who you are.
You know there is more out there for you.
Most people see me as this fitness guy, and they’re not totally wrong.
I’m not some guy who was massively overweight, and “got it together.”
I was always involved in sports, and have trained in numerous capacities since I was 12.
So that part, yes, has been steady in my life.
But so many others things have changes.
I no longer abuse alcohol.
I no longer use and abuse drugs.
I no longer eat quarts of ice cream at night.
I no longer drink 4-5 sprites a day.
I no longer think I’m not worthy.
I no longer ruminate for months over my failures and mistakes.
So much has changed.
And thats all because I made the decision to change.
It’s not an easy one, but it’s a worthy one.
This post is to remind you can.
You can lose weight.
You can get in the best shape of you life over 40.
You can build muscle and get stronger.
You can eat better and live healthier.
You can change careers or start your own business.
You can do all of these things.
But you can’t do them:
- with your old way of thinking
- with the same old mindset
- alone
- without sacrifice of some sort
- without a plan
